Downtime

Feeling a little bit of downtime earlier today but I eventually got some things done. I did a few studies on my recent photos of Paul Ling skating, I also bought the colour set of Artline’s 210 medium 0.6mm felt tips. Then decided to practice some faces* after being inspired by a new love: Hellen Jo.

Hellen Yo produces the works that I’m exactly been trying to achieve aesthetically, they’re so amazing and powerful to me.

10 Years On

9/11 was a major event for Western culture, the rise of the apparent terrorist, new laws worldwide and the constant fear of being attacked. Well most of this I ignored as a young kid, waking up expecting Cheese TV for my morning dosage of Dragon Ball Z or some other English dubbed anime to watch before primary school. 10 years later, I’m twice my age and about to enter the real world. I wasn’t directly affected by the tragedy that occurred but what happened that day is a major icon that started this whole worldwide terror and fear in a lot of us. I wanted to commemorate this earlier this month but wasn’t able to since I was busy with the ’3 The Hard Way’ exhibition.

The image is not intended to offend anyone, it’s simply my view as a child of it all.

Fuck Paris

On Saturday, I painted an image for Ayesha’s 22nd birthday. It was a life-size Chanel No 5 bottle. It looked a little better than the one below. The perfumes below are just ones I like and dislike. Gouache on watercolour paper.
