Watch The Throne
It’s been a while since I’ve really posted anything about what I’m bumping, to me music plays a big role in my art practice. It helps build the mood and groove to when I work, as a person who’s overly chill I’m really digging the jazz-hop joints. But ever since I kind of gave up on search for ‘new’ music, I decided 2011 would be a year of searching, building my music collection with new old artists and exploring other genres. It’s not often I’m found bumping new and upcoming artists since I’m never in the loop, so I guess I’m missing out on a lot but after hearing all the boys dropping the lines ‘that shit cray’ I had to hear what the hype was about, so I caved in and eventually listened to ‘Watch The Throne’ and obviously bumped the shit out of ‘Niggas In Paris’ It left me with some mesmerized lines and the baller beat just drums in my head all day.

Quite a pointless post but I wanted this image to have a little more story behind it…
New Years 2011
I spent the New Years in Tasmania, Marion Bay shooting the Falls Festival 2011.
It was crazy how secluded we were, the bright starry nights lit up the plains. The beaches were untouched (except for the horde of Falls patrons)

Party goers jumped and screamed as the artists came on stage, the grounds were littered with plenty of aluminium cans and the sun burnt the uncovered.

Kimbra and Aloee Blacc were great people to shoot along with CSS and many other bands. Overall it was a new experience as it was my first festival. Camping would have been better had there been a camp fire.

I’m now back in Sydney and finishing off projects. These are my favourites so far.
